Hurtigruten Expeditions will soon rebrand under a new name – “HX.” new The name, which includes a new logo, is a nod to Hurtigruten Expeditions and its origins, the company wrote in a press release on Thursday (Sept. 19). Livery repainting of the fleet’s six ships will commence over the next 18 months.

Azores Airlines has announced new direct flights between Funchal and Toronto. The service that connects Canada to the capital city of Portugal's Madeira archipelago will start in June 2024 and run until September, the airline said. And flights are available for purchase now.

Cunard will be rolling out a new Wi-Fi service on board as it launches SpaceX's Starlink across its fleet. Starlink Low Earth Orbit (LEO) lets guests share photos and videos, stream films, and enjoy other content on board with a more reliable Wi-Fi connection at faster speeds.

It was a big weekend for “the world’s biggest weekend” – Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas is now one step closer to its debut in Port Canaveral, Florida, in July 2024. The Oasis Class ship floated for the first time over the weekend, marking its next phase of construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

Carnival Cruise Line is introducing new vegan menus, some of which have just been added on board Carnival Freedom in Port Canaveral, Fla. and Carnival Horizon at PortMiami. Going forward, the new vegan menus will be implemented fleetwide in a phased approach through the end of year.

The Atlantic Canada Airports Association says changes that are being proposed to Air Passenger Protection Regulations could increase prices and reduce service in region that’s already facing connectivity issues. The association outlined concerns in a submission to the Canadian Transportation Agency, which has been gathering feedback on changes to the charter.

Air passenger complaints to the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) have reached more than 57,000, reaching a new high, reports say. The data reveals that the CTA, on average, has faced more than 3,000 complaints per month over the past year, with the current amount coming in at more than three times the total recorded in September last year.
