Air Canada is recovering from a temporary ground stop that was ordered on Thursday (May 25) due to what the airline called a "technical issue." The U.S. FAA ordered the action on all of Air Canada and Rouge’s destinations in the U.S., an action that delayed more than several Air Canada flights that day, according to FlightAware.

Air Canada has announced its upcoming winter sun schedule, unveiling four new routes from Toronto and Montreal to Monterrey and Los Cabos in Mexico and, La Romana and Fort-de-France in the Caribbean. The airline is also deploying a substantial increase in capacity from its Vancouver hub to Mexico, Miami, Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Diego.
