Pilots with WestJet, days away from a possible strike, will host a nationwide picket on Monday (May 8), according to the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA). The action will see hundreds of uniformed pilots gather at three major airports to show WestJet management they remain committed to negotiating a "North American industry-standard contract."

Amid a “stronger-than-anticipated” demand for travel and lower-than expected fuel prices, Air Canada has updated its earnings outlook for 2023. The revised guidance also reflects adjustments to various expense items, including those resulting from higher-than-expected traffic, the airline said Thursday (May 4).

Carnival President Christine Duffy welcomed the first guests to board Carnival Luminosa from a U.S. port in Seattle on Thursday (May 4). The ship arrived after a 23-day transpacific journey that began in Brisbane, Australia to begin a series of sailings to Alaska.
