Air Transat has released its 2023-24 winter program, which will begin on Nov. 1, 2023, serving cities in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. More flights, more destinations, more frequencies. Air Canada and Bell have announced a multi-year partnership that will make it even easier to stay connected. Starting May 15, the airline will offer free messaging for all Aeroplan members worldwide on all Wi-Fi equipped aircraft across Air Canada's fleet, including Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express flights.

Flair Airlines on Tuesday (May 2) announced the establishment of a new base at Calgary International Airport. This year, the ultra-low fare carrier will add four destinations departing from Calgary: London, ON (YXU) launching in July; Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS), Phoenix, Arizona (PHX), and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR), each launching this fall.

PortsToronto’s cruise ship season has officially begun, welcoming its first vessel last Friday (April 28) – the upscale, 378-guest Viking Octantis, Viking’s first expedition ship that debuted last year. Octantis has launched a "record-breaking" cruise ship season in Toronto, which will welcome 54 ships between May and October, and more than 22,000 passengers.

The United States will lift its COVID-19 vaccine requirement for international travellers next week, the White House announced Monday (May 1).The requirement for foreign air travellers and at the Canada-U.S. border, imposed back in 2020, will end on May 11 — the same day the U.S> national public health emergency related to COVID-19 will be lifted.
