Strike averted: Lufthansa and pilots agree to last-minute wage deal

Lufthansa and its pilots’ union have agreed to a compensation deal after the union threatened a two-day strike this week, Reuters reports. Travellers will breathe a sigh of relief – last Friday, the airline cancelled roughly 800 flights due to a one-day strike that affected some 130,000 passengers.
