And for Barrie, ON-based Ola Ulewicz, that entailed opening her own storefront travel agency in a downtown neighbourhood in her city. “People are now ready to travel and getting that human connection and travel into one place is very beneficial,” Ulewicz tells PAX.

Air Transat is back in Dublin after over two years of suspension due to COVID-19. The airline operated its first flight between Toronto and Dublin (TS230) Monday night (April 11), which will be offered five times a week at the height of the season. Dublin is one of many European routes Air Transat has restored recently.

Celebrity Cruises has cancelled its 2022-2023 Asia season for Celebrity Solstice due to uncertain travel conditions in the region. The winter sailings – 18 cruises total – were supposed to run from September 2022 to April 2023. Impacted guests may apply their current booking to select Asia sailings in 2023-2024 or opt for a full refund.

Officials from WestJet also participated yesterday, sharing updates on the airline's recovery and information on issues such as refunds and telephone wait times.

Emerald Cruises has released new images of its new luxury superyacht, Emerald Azzurra, following its launch last month. Lynx Air's inaugural Toronto-Calgary flight took off from Toronto Pearson on Monday (April 11), representing the start of a new "ultra-affordable" service that will see four flights each week between YYZ and YYC, increasing to daily service as of April 18. By summer, Lynx will serve Halifax, St. John’s, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver from both YYZ and Hamilton airports.
