It was a night straight out of Hollywood. Playa Hotels and Resorts, amid expansion, rolled out the red carpet for top-producing travel advisors Wednesday (May 10) at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya where it hosted a “Night at the Oscars” awards gala to cap off “All Stars 2023." Avalon Waterways is adding new departures - festive and wine-themed cruises, in particular - to meet 2023 and 2024 river cruise demands. “We’ve just witnessed the biggest first quarter bookings swell in our history,” said Pam Hoffee, president of Avalon Waterways. Avalon is also extending its 2024 season into November on the Seine and Rhône Rivers.

Hilton is growing its all-inclusive portfolio with the signing of a management deal to welcome the first all-inclusive Curio Collection property in the Dominican Republic. Canadians will be able to apply to renew their passports online starting this fall, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said Wednesday (May 10). Applicants will be able to upload their necessary documents and passport photo on a secure government website, according to reports. People who are applying for new passports, however, will still need to go the traditional route.
