Through its latest travel trade campaign, Tourism New Zealand aims to help Canadian travel advisors ensure the destination is the top choice for their clients’ next trip, with planning tools, educational resources, a contest and more.

The campaign, dubbed New Zealand Next, features a range of interactive planning tools, sharable content and themed trips, which will enable advisors to “provide top-notch recommendations and sell richer, more engaging New Zealand itineraries,” the tourism board said in a statement.

“Advisors are our most powerful destination advocates. It’s incredibly important we continue to provide the trade with innovative and engaging ways to inspire, and ultimately, convert their clients,” says Rosenberg.

These resources include Tourism New Zealand’s series of Good Morning World videos, which provide a glimpse into the lives of tour guides across the country, their local knowledge, and the experiences on offer.

Advisors can also interact with the campaign through Tourism New Zealand’s owned, paid, and partner media channels to become experts in New Zealand itineraries for nature lovers, foodies, adventurers, romantics, cultural explorers, and active travelers. Each month, campaign creative and messaging will change to promote one of the themes.

Tourism New Zealand’s Explore PLUS Independent FAM program has also returned with new deals and opportunities for advisors to design their own trip to New Zealand. More than 500 air, land, accommodation, and attraction discounts are available to qualified advisors in the theme of each New Zealand Next itinerary.

The first 50 agents to design and take an Explore PLUS Independent FAM are eligible to receive a $500 Trip Credit cash award.

To qualify for Explore PLUS, agents must hold a current NZSP certification – either Bronze, Silver or Gold. To qualify for the $500 Trip Credit they must apply, be approved as one of the first 50 applicants, and meet all terms and conditions. Details are available here.
