Two lucky Canadian travel advisors won big at St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ 2021 Roadshow, which was held virtually last week on Oct. 6.
Dana McGregor of North South Travel and Susan Henry of Custom Vacations were both randomly selected for a trip for two to the Southern Caribbean nation in the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.
The first grand prize draw – a seven-night trip for two, with flights on Air Canada and accommodations in St. Vincent and three of the Grenadines islands – went to McGregor, who is based in Vancouver.
The second prize – a surprise addition courtesy of Petit St. Vincent Resort – went to Henry, who is based in St. Catharines, ON. This prize included flights from Canada and four nights’ accommodation at the stunning property that sits on its own private island.
The roadshow featured a welcome from Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, the Hon. Carlos James, an update from Glen Beache, CEO of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, as well as overviews of the various islands and hotel options available in the destination.
After the presentation, participants were able to chat directly with hotel representatives in breakout rooms and learn more about the properties.
All roadshow participants will receive a special thank you gift courtesy of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, including special marinades and seasonings from the destination, as well as an original print by a Vincentian artist.
Air Canada is set to resume direct service to St. Vincent from Toronto on Dec. 6, 2021.
