TravelBrands' Agent Appreciation events cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns

TravelBrands’ annual Agent Appreciation roadshow has been cancelled this year, following “multiple discussions with industry stakeholders” amidst the current COVID-19 situation.

In a statement distributed to trade media, TravelBrands said that “Our primary goal is always to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our partners, travel agents and employees. We want to make these events as enjoyable as possible and focus on all the new features TravelBrands has to offer. While this decision was not easy, it is the best for the well-being of everyone at the moment.”

The events, which see TravelBrands and many supplier partners meet with agents in major urban centres across Canada each spring, were scheduled to begin later this month.
