Which hotels are offering on-site COVID-19 testing? There's a website for that.
To help travellers comply with the new government measure requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test result to travel to Canada, some of Transat's hotel partners are now offering COVID-19 testing services on-site or at an external clinic.
To simplify the process of securing a test for travel agents and their clients, Transat has compiled a list of hotels, organized by destination, on its website along with details relating to the testing service (price, appointment scheduling, processing time, etc.).
Furthermore, a clearly marked logo has been added to each resort’s information page.
If a hotel is missing from the list, it's advised to consult this practical guide where Transat has compiled a list of laboratories offering PCR and/or LAMP COVID-19 screening tests for each of its destinations.
The prices and processing times that are listed are for information purposes only and are subject to change, Transat says.
Travellers are advised to contact their hotels, directly, to confirm all information.
The company also reminds travellers to make their testing appointment upon arrival at their hotel and to make sure you they have their airline ticket and passport in their possession when arriving for a test.
Since Jan. 7, the Government of Canada has required that all air passengers five years of age or older present proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (PCR or LAMP) in order to be allowed to board a flight to Canada.
