Following the attacks in Sri Lanka on April 21, 2019, G Adventures has issued a statement regarding the status of its departures and tours to the country.
The tour operator confirmed that all of its travellers and staff in the country are safe and accounted for. All trips have been rerouted to avoid Colombo and groups have been advised to exercise caution.
Cancel or refund
As a result of elevated travel warnings in a number of countries, G Adventures has made the decision to cancel all departures in Sri Lanka up to and including April 30, 2019. Travellers have the option to transfer to an alternative tour, or to cancel their tour and receive a full refund.
The next scheduled departure to Sri Lanka is on June 23, 2019. Travellers with tours in Sri Lanka booked beyond April 30, 2019 who wish to postpone their tour to a later date or alternative destination may do so with no change fees.
In a statement to PAX, G Adventures said none of its 11 Expedition Cruises to Sri Lanka will be affected, as departures do not start until June.
Customers who need to make alternative travel arrangements should contact their travel agent or G Adventures' sales team by telephone at
