Air Canada golf tournament raises more than $1 million

At its annual golf tournament this week, the Air Canada Foundation raised more than $1 million in support of children’s charities and organizations across Canada.

The third-annual tournament, held Aug. 11 at the Saint Raphaël Golf Club in Québec, featured 73 teams totaling 292 golfers from across North America. It included a full day of golf followed by dinner and silent and live auctions of items donated by tournament partners.

Among the organizations that received support through the funds raised at the 2013 tournament were Breakfast Clubs of Canada, 14 pediatric hospitals within the Children’s Miracle Network, Dreams Take Flight Canada, Shriners Hospital and the Canadian Red Cross.
