Air Canada Vacations (ACV) has unveiled CareFlexPLUS, a new travel protection program that gives travellers greater peace of mind.

The program allows customers to cancel with a full refund to the original form of payment up to 25 days prior to departure, change their booking or transfer their package.

Customers can book with confidence by opting to add CareFlexPLUS at the time of the booking through a limited-time introductory offer of $29 per person.

“The safety and peace of mind of our shared customers remains our top priority. That’s why we’ve created the CareFlexPLUS program with more flexibility than ever before. In addition to offering reduced refundable deposits, with this program, customers who are eager to turn their travel dreams into reality have more freedom to do so,” said Nino Montagnese, managing director at ACV.

The limited-time offer is available for new bookings of vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, the U.S. and Canada made between May 8-31, 2020, for departures between July 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021.

The comprehensive program, applicable on all hotels, also allows customers the opportunity to change their departure date, destination or hotel up to 25 days prior to departure, and name changes can be completed up to seven days prior to departure.

CareFlexPLUS is another opportunity to earn extra commission. Advisors that add it on to their booking will receive 30 per cent commission on the CareFlexPLUS cost.

June schedule now available

The program was announced just hours after a letter was sent to advisors on Thursday night, in which Montagnese revealed that ACV’s operating schedule for June is now available on aircanada.com.

“While the schedule is still a reduction to what we are used to during this time of year, Air Canada will be offering service to certain key destinations including, Cancún, Barbados, Varadero, Cayo Coco, Montego Bay, Paris, Athens and Barcelona, among many others,” he wrote.

Referencing Air Canada’s new CleanCare+ program, Montagnese noted that “Air Canada Vacations continues to work resolutely to ensure all our partners, from hoteliers to ground handlers, are putting in place appropriate safety practices that meet our highest standards of quality and cleanliness.”

Reduced deposits of $100 per person

ACV has also introduced, for a limited time, reduced deposits of $100 per person.

Customers looking to book new vacation packages to the Caribbean, Mexico, Florida, Hawaii or Las Vegas, Europe and Canada can take advantage of a reduced deposit of $100 per person.

The offer is valid for new bookings made between May 1-31, 2020, for travel from June 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021.

When customers purchase CareFlexPLUS with their vacation package, the reduced deposit of $100 per person is refundable.
