As previously announced, Air Canada will be gradually reducing its scheduled capacity as of April 1st, 2020 in response to the Canadian and U.S. governments' plans to close their shared border to non-essential travel.
Given the rapidly evolving situation of COVID-19, all Air Canada Vacations bookings scheduled to depart Canada between March 19th and April 30th, 2020, inclusively, have been cancelled, the company announced in a travel advisory.
Affected customers whose bookings are cancelled will automatically receive a full credit for future travel valid for 24 months.
If it's a group booking, the future travel credit will be applicable to the same destination and same hotel.
Customers do not need to contact Air Canada Vacations or their travel agent as these credits will be processed automatically and will be sent by email.
When travellers are ready to use their credits, they are advised to refer to their invoice, which contains their Air Canada Vacations booking reference number.
ACV is processing files in order of departure dates.
