Virtuoso has named Cory Hagopian as senior vice-president, sales and partnerships, effective Oct. 31.

He will oversee Virtuoso’s member relations and partner teams, including cruise, hotels and resorts and destinations and experiences, as Virtuoso continues to expand globally.

He is reporting to Chief Operating Officer, Brad Bourland.

In this pivotal role leading Virtuoso’s preferred partner and member relationships, Hagopian will be responsible for setting and driving the strategy to increase the network’s global sales production, optimizing Virtuoso products and services while also continuing to build on the strong partner and member relationships to further enhance the company’s competitive position and shared value proposition, Virtuoso says.

“Cory brings deep industry knowledge and extensive experience in leading and coaching sales teams. His exceptional reputation and experience in the hospitality industry is a great addition to our talented executive team and we are excited to welcome him to Virtuoso,” said Bourland in a release.

Most recently, Hagopian oversaw the Entertainment Division for Accor and previously was responsible for sales effectiveness with a focus on sales incentive plans, data analytics and reporting.

He held sales and marketing leadership roles in Toronto, Montreal, Boston and New York, before moving into global sales positions at various times in Leisure, Travel Agency, Luxury, and Entertainment segments.

Hagopian’s previous experience includes roles with Westin Hotels & Resorts, Canadian Pacific Hotels and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, prior to Accor’s acquisition of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.

His sales achievements have led to recognitions such as President’s Circle and Master Class by Accor as well as being named HSMAI’s 2021 Sales Leader of the Year.

Dividing time between his home office in Florida and Virtuoso’s New York office, Hagopian will oversee teams based in New York, Seattle and Florida as well as remotely.

His first order of business includes participation in Virtuoso’s Chairman’s Recognition event in Munich, where he will join his fellow senior leadership members in celebrating the network’s most engaged and top-producing agencies and advisors.
