PAX Global Media Inc. is proud to announce that Brad Hopkins has joined the team as Business Development Director, effective today (April 22).
Brad brings many years of sales experience to the newly-created role, including positions with Postmedia (parent company of The National Post and Sun Media) and the Globe and Mail. In these roles, Brad managed accounts for high-profile clients such as TVOntario, the National Ballet, Mirvish Productions, the Canadian Opera Company and Live Nation.
With many of the new products being introduced by PGM, Brad will be helping to grow sales and further enhance the company's marketing activities, with the goal of strengthening PAX Global Media Inc.’s mission to provide the best media services to travel professionals across Canada and internationally.
“I’m really excited to be joining the team at PAX and getting to know the members of the Canadian travel industry!” he said. “For me, it’s all about building relationships; this includes getting to know the companies of the travel business and their challenges and objectives. It’s about being there for your clients and helping them achieve success.”
Brad will be based in PAX Global Media Inc.’s Toronto office and will report to Nancy Benetton-Sampath, vice-president – media.
“We welcome Brad and look forward to working together to develop further sales strategies and opportunities to fully meet the needs of the Canadian travel trade,” Benetton-Sampath said.
Outside of his sales roles, Brad is an accomplished musician and songwriter; in this capacity, he was a founding member and manager of Chalk Circle, a band which achieved Certified Gold Sales as assessed by the Canadian Music Industry Association.
“Playing in a band was about fulfilling a dream and I had the great opportunity to meet many people and it was great experience running my own business,” Brad explained. “The learnings from that experience are priceless.”
