A familiar face in Canada’s cruise industry has accepted a new role in the world of ultra-luxury small ship cruising.
Maxine Gundermann, who worked for Celebrity Cruises Canada for nine years as a business development and market sales manager, has joined Seabourn Cruise Line as a senior manager of national and strategic accounts.
In her new position, Gundermann will build and nurture relationships with travel agency headquarters and consortiums across North America, building strategic plans for mutual success.
Sharing the news on social media on Tuesday (Aug. 9), Gundermann pointed out that she will be working with many people in the travel industry that she already knows.
“I’m ready to learn, experience and assist in providing dream experiences across North America to around the globe,” Gundermann wrote on Facebook, calling Seabourn an “amazing brand filled with amazing people.”
“As it is for many, my love for travel runs deep in my veins, and I’m so honoured that my passion can be my profession!” she wrote.
Steve Smotrys, head of global sales and trade relations at Seabourn, took to LinkedIn yesterday to congratulate Maxine on her new position, writing that he was “thrilled” to have her join the team.
