FCM, the business travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group, has announced two appointments within the Americas region.
Alexandra de Vaux has been promoted to SVP of Sales and Ben Johnson has been named director of customer strategy.
Based in New York, Alexandra de Vaux is currently responsible for the overall sales and strategy associated with midmarket opportunities in the United States and Canada.
Her new role includes additionally overseeing sales and strategy as it relates to Enterprise.
de Vaux started her Flight Centre Travel Group career close to 15 years ago beginning with Corporate Traveller (CT) in the London, UK office.
After two years, she moved to the USA to open the NYC CT office and grow the SME brand in the U.S. market.
After some time in sales leadership roles at CT, she moved into the FCM business as national sales leader in 2015 leading the growth and expansion of the brand’s mid-market customer base while also introducing and developing key strategic sales roles.
In 2017, Canada was added to her territory and she was named VP of sales for the Americas region.
Ben Johnson’s role as director of customer strategy will focus on driving value initiatives across FCM that improve the customer experience.
This will include steering the strategy and operating framework that supports the customer journey, identifying opportunities for business process improvements, and driving customer advocacy.
Based in Denver, CO, Johnson has been with FCTG for 12 years. He began his career at corporate traveller in Australia and transitioned to FCM 10 years ago.
Over the last decade he has held multiple roles including global account manager, regional manager of account management, and most recently as director of strategic program management.
“As FCM and the travel environment continues to evolve, aligning our leadership structures to meet the needs of our customer is paramount," said Billy McDonough, president FCM Americas. “The elevation of Alex and Ben into these roles will ensure the smooth execution of our collective strategies for both retention and growth, and continue to build on the collaborative approach FCM is known for. I’m confident that with their experience and leadership, we will continue to demonstrate why FCM is the alternative in corporate travel.”
