PAX is on a cruise from Barcelona to Marseilles to Portovenere to Monte Carlo this week, getting an up-close look at the newest ship to join the Azamara fleet.
After an extensive refurbishment, the former Pacific Princess has emerged as Azamara Onward, reflecting the hallmark onboard offerings and ambiance of the boutique cruise line.
Almost identical to her three sisters the Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Pursuit, the 30,277-GRT Onward is 592 feet long, 84 feet wide, and cuts a sleek silhouette with the signature Azamara dark blue hull.
Her interiors are contemporary, decorated with modern furnishings and swirly patterned carpets.
A soft palette of earth tones, greys, and blues with subtle pops of jewel-tone hues are the predominant features of the premium deluxe brand.
Stay tuned as PAX brings you more on-location coverage, including moments from the ship's christening ceremony that will take place in Monte Carlo on May 2.
