TICO issues suspension advisories for World Travel & Amerigo Tours and Travel

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has issued an Immediate Suspension Order to suspend the registration of World Travel Inc., a travel agency in Toronto, ON.

"World Travel Inc. must cease all travel sales and counselling activity immediately," TICO wrote in a 

TICO has also issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke the registration of World Travel Inc.

World Travel Inc. is entitled to a hearing by the Licence Appeal Tribunal about the proposal to revoke its registration, TICO wrote in a release. 

It is alleged that World Travel Inc. has "not been financially responsible" in the way it conducts business, including the use of consumer funds. 

"There are reasons to believe that World Travel Inc. will not conduct business in accordance with Ontario’s Travel Industry Act, 2002," TICO says. 

TICO has issued an Immediate Suspension Order to suspend the registration of Amerigo Tours and Travel Inc. (registration number 50025588), a travel wholesaler in Ottawa, Ontario.

Amerigo Tours and Travel Inc. "must cease all travel sales and counselling activity immediately," TICO stated on Wednesday (Nov. 2). 

TICO has issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke the registration of the business. 

Amerigo Tours and Travel Inc. is also entitled to a hearing by the Licence Appeal Tribunal about the proposal to revoke its registration.

It is alleged that Amerigo Tours and Travel Inc. "has been operating without a Supervisor/Manager," as required by Ontario’s Travel Industry Act, 2002, TICO says.
