Jason Sarracini has taken on the role of chief operating officer for The Cruise Professionals.
In this newly created position, Sarracini will oversee the day-to-day operations and provide strategic leadership on business development, marketing initiatives, supplier partnerships and the introduction of new digital platforms.
"This is an incredible opportunity to grow an already remarkable brand on a global scale," he said.
Sarracini was most recently vice-president and general manager at Travelzoo Canada, where in addition to delivering double-digit growth in revenue, audience and traffic, he conceptualized and executed the company's first campaign with Airbnb. Prior to that gig, Sarracini was Torstar Digital's general manager, travel and partnerships, previous to which he founded TargetVacations.ca in 2004.
The Cruise Professionals CEO Mary Jean Tully established the business in 1987. It is now recognized as one of the world's leading luxury travel agencies.
