Seven people are dead and another five remain in critical condition, after a local tour bus carrying locals and tourists crashed in Eastern Cuba yesterday afternoon.
Local media reports say there were 18 Cubans on board, alongside travellers from Canada, Great Britain, France, Holland, and Mexico.
At this time, state media have not released the names or nationalities of the victims.
According to CTV News, the bus driver said he lost control trying to maneuver the wet and winding roads.
CNN reports that the bus was travelling from Baracoa to Guantánamo.
Officials continue to investigate, and are working to identify the deceased.
Havana is approximately a 13-hour drive from Baracoa.
