30 years of service to the tourism industry – a milestone that must be celebrated!

Indeed, the year 2022 will be a very special year as Pax Global Media celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Founded in 1992 under the name Logimonde Inc., in reference to global innovation, the company began by faxing advertising content to travel professionals in Quebec and English Canada.

Subsequently, I wrote books and directories to help travel professionals in their work.

PAX (Logimonde) was the first media company in Canada to launch its website and use email as a tool for sending advertisements. We have always remained, year after year, the most important distribution service, to which electronic and printed magazines were also added.

In May 2022, we will celebrate 30 years in business. Phew! Time flies and so much has happened – some good, and some not so good! At first, I never thought I would make it until now. What a surprise and honour to be with you for 30 years.

I considered giving up many times because I was exhausted and discouraged. The money wasn't always there! Our rapid expansion, from the Quebec market to the rest of Canada, with the launch of three new products, brought its share of stress.

There have been ups and downs. Why am I still here? Thanks to my valued colleagues, clients and industry mentors who have always believed in me. It’s certainly thanks to them.

The pleasure of working as a team when launching new products and reunions at industry events are among the happiest moments.

Bad times? Well, there have been some over 30 years. However, with the help of my dedicated team and loyal customers, we made it through. The business continued to grow until…you guessed it, the infamous pandemic which, sadly, seems to be rebounding after a slight lull.

I, like many, didn’t see it coming. However, we responded accordingly. We rapidly restructured the company and kept operating costs to a minimum. In the end, we did well and have come out debt-free. Revenues is rising again, which assures that our operations will continue. The team is working very hard.

Together, we will overcome the ongoing challenges. What will 2022 see? No one can predict it.

Thank you, to all of you in the industry, for 30 years of friendship and trust.

One day the pandemic will be completely behind us. Remain confident, even if it is still difficult.
