VIDEO: Velas Resorts to open 7th hotel in Los Cabos in 2023

Velas Resorts has revealed that it is building a new resort in Los Cabos, Mexico that will open in 2023. 

The new hotel, Casa Velas Los Cabos, will be the seventh hotel for Velas Resorts, a celebrated collection of 100 per cent Mexican, luxury properties that offer high-quality gastronomy and five-diamond service with an all-inclusive formula.

The hotel will have approximately 75-80 suites and will be located next to Mar del Cabo and Grand Velas Los Cabos, two of Velas Resorts' flagship properties on the Baja California peninsula.

The update was shared by Mr. Juan Vela Ruiz, vice-president of Velas Resorts, who assigned Mrs. Evelyne Mayrand, owner of Club Voyages Orientation in Boucherville, QC, and ambassador of the Velas Resorts brand in Quebec, to help communicate the news with members of the travel industry.

"In recent years, our hotels have welcomed more and more Canadians, and we hope they will embrace our new kid on the block as well!" said Mr. Vela in a statement.

More details about the hotel, including its official opening date, will be revealed in 2022.

The "Luxury All Inclusive" formula

The very first Velas hotel opened in 1990 in Puerto Vallarta. It began as a luxury apartment complex and was reinvented as a family-oriented resort.

Overlooking the beach and offering a spectacular view of the Sierra Madre, Velas Vallarta caters to a clientele looking for condo-type accommodations.

Leading the new generation of luxury all-inclusive hotels, Grand Velas Nayarit, Grand Velas Riviera Maya and Grand Velas Los Cabos are the three main resorts of the brand.

Over the years, their "Luxury All Inclusive" formula has become a reference.

Aimed at a high-end clientele, Casa Velas and Mar del Cabo are two boutique hotels.

The first is located at the Marina Vallarta Golf Club in Puerto Vallarta, while the second is located on the beautiful beach of Los Cabos, next to the Grand Velas Los Cabos.

The strength of the Velas brand has always been the consistency of the quality of service, as well as the appreciation of Mexican culture, from the interior design to the content of the plate and the experiences at the destination.
