The opening of Secrets Moxché and Secrets Impression Moxché, two of the AMR Collection's newest Secrets-branded properties in Playa del Carmen, has been delayed, the company said Wednesday (Jan. 26).
The delay is due to an "equipment and product delivery shortage" resulting from the Omicron variant and the decision was made "in the best interest of their guests," Kevin Wojciechowski senior vice-president, sales and distribution at AMResorts, wrote in an email to partners yesterday.
Wojciechowski said Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen will begin welcoming guests on April 18, 2022, while Secrets Impression Moxché will open on June 1, 2022.
The move was made "in order to provide the highest level of luxury, trusted brand experience and service guests have come to know and expect," he said.
As such, the resorts will be protecting any bookings affected by this change to reaffirm their commitment to travel partners, the travel agency community, and future guests, Wojciechowski said.
The AMR Collection will continue to share information and updates as they become available, he said.
The adults-only Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen and Secrets Impression Moxché Playa del Carmen are luxurious adjoined all-suite resorts located on a strip of white sandy beach in the heart of Riviera Maya within Corasol, a gated residential community with an 18-hole golf course designed by PGA-legend and member of the Hall of Fame, Nick Price.
Together, the “elevated romantic resorts” promise a variety of upscale and contemporary amenities, including three man-made cenotes, seven heated pools and one interior, beach-inspired pool for intimate gatherings.
