Starting in January, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Tourism, has established new measures to reinforce the safety and wellbeing of travellers to the island.
Foremost among them is the implementation of on-site SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR tests at Meliá hotels for those travellers that require them in Varadero, Cayo Coco and Holguin.
These tests will be held in coordination with Public Health officials at a price of $30USD each.
Travellers from Canada, citizens or residents from that country, will not have to provide negative results from a PCR test taken before their arrival to Cuba, although they will be tested free of charge at the airport or any other entry point into the country.
