Canadians travelling to Israel will soon have more hotel options to choose from, as Isrotel prepares to open two more properties this June.
Representatives from the hotel chain met with Canadian travel agents in Toronto last night, showcasing details of the new Orient Isrotel Exclusive and Publica Isrotel, opening this June in Jerusalem and Herzliya respectively. The new properties will bring Isrotel’s properties to 19 hotels across the country.
PAX sat down with Nahum Kara, director of marketing & sales for Isrotel, to get the details on the two incoming properties:
A classic hotel located in West Jerusalem’s German Colony neighbourhood, the property incorporates two preserved buildings from the 1880s into its design. The history of the district, where members of the German Temple Society emigrated to in the 19th Century, will also be detailed in displays inside the new hotel, Kara told PAX.
“The architecture is preserved but you also have all the modern luxury,” Kara said.
That modern luxury, catering to high-end clients – from diplomats to people simply looking for the best quality, Kara said – can be found in the property's 240 rooms (including rooms in the historic buildings), two pools – one rooftop, one indoors – and an on-site spa featuring treatments by Isrotel’s Carmel Forest Spa brand. The property is also located near a number of important sites in the city, including the Western Wall at the Old City and the Knesset.
“Everybody thinks they should go to Jerusalem at least once – most of them end up becoming repeat visitors,” Kara joked. “It’s a matter of only convincing someone to visit once.”
Located in the city of Herzliya, located in the northern end of the Tel Aviv District and dubbed ‘Israel’s Silicon Valley,’ Kara described the Publica Isrotel as “a business hotel but with an informal atmosphere,” where guests can both network and relax.
While the 159-room property (rated four-plus stars under Israel’s new hotel rating system) will cater mainly to the crowd from the local tech sector, Kara said the atmosphere will be anything but business, with plenty of space for mingling and socializing. The property is also just 800 metres from the Mediterranean coast.
To celebrate the grand openings, each property is offering 20 per cent off stays during the month of June. Full details on the offer and both properties are available at www.isrotel.com.
