Next summer, a new luxury property is coming to Puerto Morelos, Mexico.
Opening June 2020, The Fives Oceanfront marks the brand’s third venture in Mexico, complementing its existing luxury boutique properties The Fives Downtown, just off of Fifth Avenue, and The Fives Beach, formerly The Fives Azul Beach Resort.
Both properties are located in Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya district.
According to Sandor Winkler, head of hotel development, The Fives, the new Oceanfront is one of three big announcements for the brand that travel agents should remember, heading into 2020.
Following the announcement of the new property, the second major announcement is that all three hotels will no longer be represented by Karisma Hotels & Resorts.
“What’s actually been a very stressful transition in the U.S., I believe will be a much smoother one here in Canada, thanks to the help of Transat to push us into the general marketplace,” said Winkler. “We’re very thankful for Karisma for getting us to this point, and a lot of who we are as hotel operators today is what we learned from Karisma. After 12 successful years of partnership, both brands (Azul Resorts & The Fives Hotels) had evolved to a point where consolidated operation of all of its properties made sense. The Operator of the resort will be The Fives Hotels & Residences directly. This entity had always been the Owner of the Resort, and has been successfully operating its second property (The Fives Downtown) since late 2017.”
In Canada, the product is exclusive to Transat.
Azul Beach Resort has rebranded
Lastly, The Fives’ best-selling property, The Fives Azul Beach Resort, has rebranded, and is now called The Fives Beach. The differences that your clients will notice are incredibly minor, and include a name change on the sign, a name change to the kids club (The Azulitos Kids Club will be renamed to The Aluchitos Kids Club), and gourmet all-inclusive will be renamed to “all-senses inclusive”.
Everything else remains the exact same.
The Fives prides itself on offering a sensory hospitality concept, playing upon the five senses of touch, taste, smell, see, and hear. Through designing immersive, sensory experiences for guests to enjoy included in their stay, The Fives hopes to be remembered as more than just another all-inclusive beach vacation, instead, creating a space that allows clients to make memories and feel included in the local culture and everyday life in Mexico.
About The Fives Oceanfront
The Fives Oceanfront is a five-star, luxury boutique hotel that rests right on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.
Surrounded by untouched jungle, and even a large cenote, the new property is a family-friendly seaside escape that delivers laid-back ambiance and a refreshing approach to Mexican design.
The Fives Oceanfront has 115 suites, available in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations.
All rooms have full or partial ocean views and given that the property is situated next to a nature reserve, the partial views still promise to delight guests, as monkeys and iguanas are known to pay a visit. Every suite is equipped with a balcony, and all oceanfront units have a Jacuzzi tub outside.
A new ‘Dinner in the Dark’ concept will also debut at the property, further encouraging guests to explore their own five senses.
Guests of the new property can enjoy the following amenities:
- Private beach club
- Two infinity pools
- Ocean view rooftop
- All-inclusive and room only options available
- Three gourmet restaurants and a coffee shop
- World class spa, with treatments for kids too
- Fitness centre
