Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma in Riviera Maya, Mexico is set to open its doors in early 2023 with luxury accommodations, new food and beverages offerings, entertainment and a world of Margaritaville firsts.

Features that will debut on the property include the first-ever beachfront LandShark Brewery, new room categories, nine world-class restaurants, and exclusive wedding venues and experiences.

With more than 13 luxury suite types available, the accommodations are designed to create the ultimate travel experience to meet and exceed the most seasoned traveller’s needs and wants.

Guests can choose from spacious King Paradise Suite, exclusive Beachfront Honeymoon Suites, and sumptuous Coral Reefer Suites, complete with over 1,400 sq. ft. of signature outdoor living space, including a fully furnished terrace, an oversized private infinity pool, a custom-built gaucho style grill, and an outdoor pool table.

New food & beverage

Guests will have the option to indulge in mouth-watering creations at the five Margaritaville-inspired restaurants and a beachside grill offering carefully-curated cuisine, featuring a la carte menus and food displays to delight every palate.

In addition to brand staples like Frank and Lola’s, the resort will introduce two newcomers including:

Far Side Of The World – Pacific Rim Cuisine

Inspired by the lyrics of the Far Side of the World song, “Far side of the world” is about the pleasure of faraway places, unique culinary selections, surfing paradises, bamboo shacks, the vastness of the Pacific Ocean, and the bounty it provides.

Salted Rim – Margarita Bar & Lounge

Salted Rim is a celebration of the agave plant in Mexico. Guests can revel in Caribbean elegance with the finest lounge service, authentic and extensive selection of tequilas, mezcals, and bacanoras, to create an array of Margaritas and more adventurous creations.

First beachfront LandShark Brewery in Mexico

With two terraces overlooking the calm waters, there’s never been a more ideal place to enjoy a Landshark lager. Guests can come and say hello to the brewmaster, enjoy a beer sampler tray, or visit in the evening for a beer-matching menu, live music, and sports.

The property also promises endless entertainment options, including live musical performances– from solo singers to full bands playing classics and current favourites.

The "always-on entertainment experience" will be interactive and immersive, and full of surprise and delight moments.

Live music venues include the Landshark Brewery stage and Salted Rim Bar.

Weekly entertainment options will also include:

  • Pool parties with a local bands and DJs
  • Evening beach bonfires
  • Margarita blending (and sampling!)
  • Pickleball tournaments (the resort has two pickleball courts)
  • Cornhole tournaments
  • Elevated weddings

Here, guests can change vows with their toes in the sand and a cocktail in hand. 

And wedding couples will find an array of venues with stunning views designed to elevate wedding celebrations in every way.

Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Riviera Maya will feature:

Sky Wedding Terrace – The biggest Sky Wedding setting of the Island Reserve resorts and the largest in the region, the Sky Wedding terrace will feature views of the azure seas and starry skies. It can accommodate seated dinners and receptions for up to 200 people, providing the perfect backdrop for romantic moments.

Island Weddings – The Island Wedding Package elevates the wedding couple’s ceremony as they exchange their vows over the pool on a transparent platform with swaying palms and a salty breeze in the background.

Opulent Ballrooms – These venues can accommodate an array of occasions from large weddings to conferences with space for up to 400 people.
