Club Med is expanding its Canadian sales team with the addition of two business development managers for the English Canadian market, PAX has learned.

Tyler Mattioli joins Club Med with more than 10 years of tourism industry experience.

He started his travel career as a front-line agent with Flight Centre, where he spent his first five years. He later joined Air Canada Vacations as an area sales manager and most recently spent time with Air New Zealand as a national accounts manager.

For the last three years, Mattioli has worked in the pharmaceutical space as a provincial sales manager. But now, he is looking forward to making his big return to travel and tourism, joining the dynamic team at Club Med as a business development manager for Ontario and the Maritimes.

Mattioli joins forces with Samantha Gillingham in the territory of Ontario, with a focus on new business development.

Meanwhile, Debbie Miller joins Club Med Meetings and Events with more than 20 years’ experience in destination sales.

The client-centric sales professional, formerly with Destination Toronto, is the face of the Canadian corporate market.

Armed with passion, authenticity, humour and product knowledge, Miller excelled in her previously role to grow brand awareness and build the visitor economy.

“I am looking forward to jumping into this new role with Club Med as BDM MICE for English Canada,” Miller said in a statement.

She is also a proud member of SITE, MPI, PCMA and Second City. Miller replaces Maria Chung, who retired on July 31.
