Banyan Tree says 'hola' to Cuba

Banyan Tree says 'hola' to Cuba

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will open its first Dhawa property in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba, on Dec. 15.

As the first Asian hospitality group to enter Cuba, guests can look forward to the Banyan Tree’s signature hospitality, chic comfortable rooms, all-inclusive dining experiences that range from French, Italian to local Cuban, and a wide array of complimentary activities.

The resort has ocean views from half of its 516-room inventory (246 superior rooms, 122 deluxe ocean view rooms, 120 premium ocean front view rooms, 16 junior ocean front view suites and 12 premium ocean front view suites), five restaurants and four bars, two swimming pools, fitness centre, a kids club and a 545-seat theatre with complimentary daily ‘live’ entertainment.

The hotel is the first of four planned for Cuba and marks Banyan Tree’s second venture into Latin America after two successful hotel openings in Mexico.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria will also offer environmental conservation activities with a focus on caring for flamingo birds who gather near a small lake by the hotel’s Fuego Del Mar restaurant.
