Bahia Principe presented its new Rewards program for travel agents last night, providing resources and incentives for selling the resort chain’s properties.
At a Toronto event co-hosted by Transat, Bahia’s top Canadian tour operator partner, the Bahia team detailed the recently-launched travel agent program.
“We’ve launched this program honouring you as a travel agent, thanking you for your support over the last 22 years,” said Gavin Jimenez, national accounts manager for Bahia Principe.
Jimenez explained that upon signing up for the program, agents will receive 250 points and earn additional points with each booking recorded; points can then be used toward free stays and gifts as well as vouchers for spas and restaurants at Bahia properties.

The program will also give agents access to special room rates as well as brand centre access (including high-res photos and videos), hotel facts sheets and news daily reporting on client bookings.
Jimenez said that in addition to promotions on various properties which will allow agents to earn additional points, bookings made with Transat are also eligible for Bonbon points from the tour operator.
Transat’s Commercial Director Nicole Bursey added that group bookings are currently eligible to earn free airfare, describing the offer as “a perfect pairing” with a Bahia booking.
