Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has suspended all calls to Turkey through 2016 as a safety precaution in response to the recent string of terror attacks that have taken place in the country.
The decision affects NCHL’s brands across the board, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas.
In a press release dated Jan. 22, NCHL stated that it will continue to closely monitor the situation and make future itinerary adjustments as appropriate.
NCHL also stated that it has begun the process of informing guests booked on the affected cruises of the itinerary changes and will update its websites with revised voyage information.
Turkey remains under close surveillance after a suicide attack unfolded in Istanbul’s bustling Sultanahmet Square district on Jan. 12, 2016. The incident, which occurred near some of Istanbul’s most popular tourist attractions, killed 11 people, all foreigners.
