Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has confirmed that Christian Roussin has joined its Canadian team as a strategic account manager in Quebec.
Roussin is a well-known figure in the industry. Previously, he was a business development manager for Playa Hotels and Resorts, supporting travel advisors in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Before that, he was a director of business development for WestJet in Quebec.
His arrival at Royal Caribbean was an open secret after a photo of him alongside members of the RCI team was posted to social media recently.
Roussin officially began his role at RCI on December 12. He will work in close collaboration with business development specialist, Gabriel Dechauffour.
For the rest of 2022, Mr. Roussin will be in training. Advisors are therefore encouraged to continue to work with Mr. Dechauffour if they need assistance.
“His passion for cruises is contagious”
“We are thrilled to welcome Christian Roussin as the strategic account manager for the province of Quebec. Christian was formerly with Playa Hotel & Resorts but his passion for cruises is contagious,” wrote Lisa Connell, director of sales, Canada at RCI, in a statement.
Connell went on to thank her Ontario strategic account managers – Maria Gibson, Nate Allen and Mitch Merucci – for their help, and thanked Eric St. Pierre, who has taken on more responsibility in Quebec over the past few years.
“Watch for more details coming early January as Christian sets sail on his new Royal Caribbean adventures,” Connell wrote.
