Carnival Cruise Line has announced a series of itineraries for the inaugural season of its newest ship, Carnival Horizon, debuting in April 2018. The ship, currently under construction in Italy, will debut with a series of European voyages before embarking on its Caribbean itineraries from New York and Miami.
The ship’s maiden voyage will set sail Apr. 2, 2018, with a 13-day Mediterranean voyage operating round-trip from Barcelona. Carnival Horizon will also operate two seven-day cruises departing Apr. 15 and 22, 2018, in addition to a 10-day voyage departing Apr. 29, 2018.
The ship will reposition to the U.S. in May with a 14-day transatlantic crossing departing Barcelona on May 9 and arriving in New York on May 23, 2018. Featured on this journey will be Malaga, Gibraltar, Lisbon and Vigo, along with a stop at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Following its arrival in New York, Carnival Horizon will begin a summer schedule of eight-day Caribbean cruises operating round-trip from New York, before switching to Miami in September for a year-round schedule of six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises.
