Granite Travel Trade Expos confirms fall dates for shows in BC, AB, ON & the Maritimes

Granite Travel Trade Expos has announced dates for shows this fall that will see events extend across the country to Western Canada, The Maritimes, and to additional cities in Ontario. 

"The expansion of our Granite Travel Trade Expos is a direct response to the success of our April shows and industry demand to bring it to other markets,” said Bradley Dean, a partner at Granite Productions in Oakville, ON. “The feedback we received from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and we had a lot of agents asking if we were bringing the show to their communities. We’re very excited to do that this fall.”

In total, more than 20 travel suppliers, including Tauck, Manulife, St. Kitts, Expedia, Porter, Bahia Principe, and more than 325 agents, descended on the Granite Travel Trade Expos in April in the key Ontario markets of Kitchener/Waterloo, Hamilton, Mississauga and Barrie. 

The response from both suppliers and agents is what led to the expansion into additional markets across Canada, the company said. 

“Thank you to Granite Travel Trade Expo for organizing such a successful event,” stated Joe Scardigno, national account Manager, Canada, Tauck, in a press release. “The energy and buzz from the event in Mississauga were so good to see. It was great to meet so many new people and have face-to-face conversations again." 

In-person interaction 

The events are designed to connect industry suppliers and top-producing travel agents, facilitating valuable and essential in-person interactive consultations and presentations. 

The shows are geographically located in cities with agents who provide suppliers with significant sales volume, though they are typically less serviced than larger cities in the area. 

The event has already attracted the world’s leading suppliers and the agents that book them.

Each event focused on training and networking which exemplified the desire for face to face and in person interaction with agents and the products that they love to sell. 

In each city, a presentation series featuring six 15-minute segments by suppliers was a highlight followed by a trade show, dinner, and prize giveaways.

• Victoria, BC – Wednesday, October 4
• Surrey, BC – Thursday, October 5
• St. John’s, NFLD – Monday, October 16
• Halifax, NS – Wednesday, October 18
• Moncton, NB – Thursday, October 19
• Ottawa, ON – Monday, November 6
• Pickering/Ajax - Tuesday, November 7
• Vaughan – Wednesday, November 8
• Burlington – Thursday, November 9
