Black Friday roundup: travel deals that can help your clients save big

Black Friday – a colloquial term that kickstarts the holiday shopping season – is in full swing as retailers unleash a flood of limited-time offers and money-saving deals.

The travel industry is no exception, and ahead of the official day (Nov. 24), suppliers were already unlocking bargains on select itineraries and products that can help your clients save big.

The promos have been pouring in for several weeks now – and it’s a lot of keep track of.

Air Canada Vacations 

Air Canada Vacations is offering up to 40% off select vacation packages and deals on select Flight & Hotel packages.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises wants guests to “Have It All” this season as the cruise line announces one of its biggest Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals ever.  

From November 10 – December 5, travellers who book a cruise on Celebrity can get 75 per cent off a second guest as well as up to $300 in onboard credit for nearly all itineraries through April 30, 2026.

Included in the Black Friday sale are sailings on Celebrity’s newest ship, Celebrity Ascent, set to make her debut in December 2023 with her maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale.

Crystal Cruises 

Crystal Cruises is extending a discount for new passengers in honour of Black Friday. 

New-to-brand cruisers will receive up to $250 per passenger ($500 per cabin) in onboard credit when they book select voyages through 2024 by Dec. 10.

Solo passengers can also enjoy special offers on select voyages in 2023 and 2024 in Sapphire and Aquamarine suite categories only if booked by Dec. 31. Solo fares are capacity controlled.

Club Med

Club Med has unlocked exclusive early access to Black Friday deals to travel partners with savings up to 50% on all of our premium all-inclusive resorts. Plus, take advantage of an additional Instant Credit of up to $500 per room.

Agents can also unlock an extra 10% off on premium rooms — and you have to act fast because this benefit is only valid until November 15.

Collette

Collette is giving travel advisors early access to its 2023 Black Friday sale through Nov. 19.

Cunard Line

Book one of nearly 200 select Cunard sailings departing in 2024 and 2025 by Dec. 4 and take up to 40% off cruise fares. 

Passengers who reserve a cabin as part of the promo will also receive up to $1,000 in onboard credit based on room type. Prices start from $799 per person.

Emerald Cruises is offering a special second guest sails free on eight Rhine, Main and Danube river itineraries with 34 departure dates spread across the season. 

Savings range from CAD $4,100 to $8,580 and are not combinable with other offers.

Exodus Adventure Travels

Exodus Adventure Travels has announced its Black Friday & Cyber Monday sale with special savings of 20% off all of its guided, small group trips. The sale begins on November 16 and will run until November 30, 2023.

To take advantage of these significant savings on Exodus’ guided trips use the code BF2024. The offer applies to departures between December 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024.

Expedia TAAP

Expedia Group has announced its biggest Expedia TAAP sales event of the year, having negotiated at least 30% off thousands of hotels. 

The Black Friday deals apply to bookings made during the 12-day sale between November 17-29, 2023, and are valid for travel through December 31, 2024.

This Black Friday event is the ideal opportunity for travel advisors to drive bookings, promote early bird offers, and prepare for their best Black Friday ever. 

They can even take advantage of free eye-catching marketing assets designed to grab the customer’s attention.

Globus Family of Brands

Travellers can enjoy 12 travel deals with Globus, during more than 12 days of savings.

Holland America Line

From Nov. 17 to Dec. 1,  clients can book select cruises through 2025 and receive prepaid stateroom crew gratuities (first and second guests only) and discounts of up to 30% off cruise-only fares.

Hurtigruten Expeditions (HX)

HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions) has unveiled its longest-ever Black Friday sale.

Starting November 1, the whole-month event offers travellers an extended booking period to secure discounts of up to 50 per cent on adventures to some of the world's most remote destinations.

Key highlights of the sale include:

• Up to 50% off Warm-Water Adventures: Galápagos  and West Africa

This Black Friday, all four Galápagos itineraries are available for up to 50 per cent off. Travellers can also book select sailings on the West Africa Archipelago Cruise, a 14-day voyage from Dakar, Senegal, to Cape Verde and the Bissagos Islands launching this November.

Antarctica cruises are also now available at up to 30% off. Longer expeditions, such as the 18-day Antarctic Circle Expedition, which offers 11 days exploring the Seventh Continent, as well as itineraries to the Falklands, are included.

Hurtigruten Norway

Hurtigruten Norway’s Black Friday offers are now available through travel advisors, and will be available on its website Nov. 17.

The cruise line is offering up to 50 per cent off on almost all sailings with the Original Coastal Express, which celebrated 130 years this summer, and the brand-new North Cape Express, which just launched this October, for travel during January 1 and April 31, 2024. 

Travel between May 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, has discounts of up to 35 per cent off, including the Svalbard Express that launched earlier this summer, and only operates during the summer months.

The sale is open exclusively through travel advisors until November 30, the company says. Solo travellers, meanwhile, can take advantage of no additional supplement on a wide selection of cruises.

Le Boat

Le Boat has unveiled its Black Friday offer, granting prospective travellers an opportunity to plan the 2024 adventures on the water.

The “Let's Go Boating in 2024" Black Friday promo allows explorers to save back on the next boating vacation, whether it be along a waterways in France or embarking on an adventure in Canada. 

Le Boat specializes in canal cruise rentals and boasts a fleet of over 950 boats stationed at over 33 different departure bases across eight countries— France, Belgium, England, Scotland. Ireland, Germany, Italy, Netherland and Canada. 

Their upcoming promotion includes: 

• Save up to 25% on France boat rental vacations.

From Nov. 15 through Nov. 24, MSC Cruises is offering drinks and Wi-Fi included, along with up to $500 onboard credit and kids sail free as part of its Black Friday promotion.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line says it has launched its earliest Black Friday Sale offer, a month-long promotion valid on 2024 sailings.

During the promo, travellers get 50 per cent off all sailings on all ships, including the Norwegian Prima, the Viva and the recently announced Norwegian Aqua set to launch in 2025.

The offer can be combined with the company’s Free at Sea offer, where guests can choose up to six perks. 

Oceania Cruises

Oceania Cruises has launched its "Best-Ever Black Friday Sale," with savings of up to $5,400 per stateroom on more than 100 global voyages in 2024.  

This limited-time offer is valid on bookings made between November 14 and December 5, 2023.

PLAY

PLAY, a low-cost Icelandic airline that offers daily flights from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport to more than 26 European destinations, via Iceland, has announced its Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion on select destinations for winter and spring getaways. 

From November 24-28, travellers can get 35% off of one-way flights out of Hamilton, ON for travel dates between December 2023 to May 2024

Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises has unwrapped Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, offering cruisers three great savings opportunities including up to 50% off 2024 and 2025 vacations, 50% off deposits, and the opportunity for third and fourth guests to sail for free.

Available now through Nov. 30, the 50% off sale applies to all fare types including inclusive packages like Princess Plus and Princess Premier which add popular amenities like W-iFi, beverages, desserts, fitness classes, crew gratuities and more at an even greater savings of up 65% when the inclusive package amenities are purchased separately.

In addition, guests can book a limited time offer running through Dec. 12, offering guests 50% off cruise fares and 50% off deposits on voyages 45 days or fewer.

The Princess Cruises Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale ends at 11:59 pm PST on Nov. 30, 2023.  Some restrictions apply. More details here. 

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean is discounting sailings by up to $700 and adding in an additional 30% off when booked by Dec. 4. 

As well, kids 12 and younger sail free when they're the third and fourth passengers in a cabin shared with two paying adults. Details here. 

Scenic 

Scenic is offering bonus savings of up to CAD $1,000 per couple on select eight to 13-day Rhine, Main, Danube and Moselle journeys. 

When combined with the Super Earlybird special, guests can enjoy total savings of up to CAD $1,600 per couple and free or reduced airfare. On select 15- and 16-day journeys, guests can fly Business Class air for CAD $595 (not combinable). 

Savings are for new bookings made between Nov. 13 and Dec. 7, 2023. Some deals are combinable with free and reduced airfare offers and other bonus possibilities. More details here.

Sunwing Vacations 

Sunwing Vacations’ Black Friday deals have officially activated, offering savings of up to $1,500 per pair on all-inclusive packages to some of the hottest destinations. 

The tour operator’s sale is on now until Nov. 26, 2023, and applies to travel between Dec. 14, 2023 and April 30, 2024.  Click here for more.

Trafalgar is offering up to 15% off on select 2024 departures booked now through December 5, 2023.

Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences

Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences in Saint Lucia is offering savings of up to 60% off on all luxury room categories and villas for bookings made between November 20 - 28, 2023.

Windstar Cruises

Windstar Cruises has “Thankful for Travel" sale. Book by Dec. 1 and Pick Your Perk: one free hotel night (which can be used pre- or post-cruise) or up to $1,000 Onboard Credit. 

Premium suite guests can select an upgrade to the All-Inclusive Fare which includes all alcohol, Wi-Fi and all gratuities. In addition to the perks, the sale has reduced deposits of five percent on all staterooms and suites. 

Cruises start as low as $1,399 per guest. The sale is open only from Nov. 21 – Dec. 1, 2023.
