Due to recent changes in the organization’s structure, Canadians members are now given the opportunity to buy shares in Ensemble Travel Group; a status that until now was only open to U.S.-based members.

In the last few weeks, Canadian members have signed up in overwhelming support to become shareholders.

Now, in their first official act as full-fledged owners of Ensemble Travel Group, members in Canada are being encouraged to consider running for a seat on the organization’s board of directors. This governing body provides input on key strategic initiatives and guides the overall direction of Ensemble Travel Group.

Under the new North American structure, the board will be comprised of six Canadians and seven Americans. Deadline for nominations is Apr. 24 followed by the election in early May.

For the last 28 years, the six-member Canadian Advisory Board has served as the voice of Ensemble Travel Group members in Canada. This group now “sunsets” as members have full voting power under the new structure.

Members of the most recent Canadian Advisory Board include Daryl Silver, Continental Travel Group; Ian Biddlecombe, TravelTST.ca; Sanjay Goel, Cruise Connections Canada Ltd; Nadia Giudice, Voyages Groupe Ideal; David Harris, Orion Travelinx; and Philip Houde, River East Travel & Cruise Centre.
