WestJet will host more than 1,000 travel agents as part of its fifth annual Fall Travel Trade expos, which kicked off in Western Canada last week.
WestJet was in Victoria and Kelowna, B.C. and will be visiting Winnipeg, Man., Saskatoon, Sask., Regina, Sask., and Ottawa, Ont. next.
Following the annual Spring Travel Trade expos that took place earlier this year, the Fall Travel Trade expos focus on more cities.
At the events, travel agents will hear about what’s new at WestJet Vacations and will be able to interact with the airline’s preferred hotel and destination partners.
In each city, WestJet’s Business Development Managers will focus on the WestJet vision to enhance, evolve and expand into a global network carrier. Product enhancements, new Dreamliner routes and the airline’s Business cabin will also be a key focus for the events.
“It is an exciting time at WestJet as we continue to add more routes and frequencies, new destinations and focus on our Business cabin and premium traveller on our Dreamliner aircraft,” Jane Clementino, WestJet Director, Agency Sales, stated in a release. “These events give us a chance to meet our valued travel trade partners in person to understand their needs and gather feedback in an effort to continue our successful relationships.”
Attendees at each event will also have a chance to win prizes and receive promotional materials.
