Air Transat presented the summer 2018 Chef's Menu by Daniel Vézina on May 1, now offering an all-new Canadian wine in the Club Class menu as well as the newest issue of Atmosphere magazine on board.
“At Air Transat, going the extra mile to meet our passengers’ needs is part of our DNA. We strive every day to stay in line with consumers’ expectations,” explained Jean François Lemay, president-general manager of Air Transat. “As part of our improvements to the on-board experience, we are refining the meal options in Economy Class on transatlantic flights. We are also very proud to be marking the second year of our Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina with some new dishes."

Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina: new dishes available
Since May 1, Air Transat has been offering two new dishes featuring local ingredients like wild blueberries and smoked meat, in addition to bringing back four passenger favourites and two breakfast meals.
- New: Pork filet mignon with Quebec blueberries
- New: Chicken cordon bleu garnished with smoked meat
- Salmon fillet with Asian noodles
- Pulled beef shepherd’s pie
- Vegetable risotto
- White bean and quinoa bowl
Penne in rosé sauce, topped with cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and parsley
Each meal is served with a cheese plate, dessert and wine.
- Spinach and basil omelette
- Crepes with goat cheese and smoked salmon
Each meal is served with a plain croissant, yogourt, orange juice and coffee.
The Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina is offered for free to all Club Class passengers. In Economy Class, the Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina is available for $15 for breakfast and $25 for lunch/dinner. Improved meal options on transatlantic flights
Since May 1, Economy Class passengers on transatlantic flights have been enjoying a tastier Bistro menu. On every flight, two hot dishes are served free of charge with a salad and dessert, on a tray. On flights to Europe, these hot meals have replaced the sandwiches.
From Canada to Europe, the airline offers a choice of two hot dishes served with couscous salad and a sweet treat:
- Chicken Provençal, served with orzo with broccoli and julienne carrots
- Shanghai noodles sautéed with vegetables, sprinkled with sesame seeds

An all-new Canadian wine in Club Class
The international selection available to Club Class passengers now includes a Canadian wine, a Riesling Pinot Grigio from Sandbanks Winery, in Prince Edward County, which is paired with some of the gourmet meals created by Daniel Vézina.
