TAP Portugal resumes flights to Toronto & Montreal
Pax Global Media

TAP Air Portugal is expanding its flight schedule to 40 per cent of its pre-COVID flying in September with some 700 weekly roundtrip flights on 76 routes, including 30 flights on eight routes from North America.

In August, the airline will fly some 500 weekly roundtrips on 66 routes, including 20 flights from six destinations in North America.

With the return of flights, TAP is also extending its Book with Confidence program for all new bookings through August 31. That way, each booking for travel through October can be changed once at no cost (though any fare difference is still charged).

Flights from Canada

Included in those just-announced North American destinations are Toronto and Montreal.

TAP will fly from Lisbon to Toronto (YYZ) three times per week from Aug. 1st through Aug. 31st, and increase that frequency to five flights per week from Sept. 1st through Sept. 30th. The airline has been offering two flights per week for July 1st through July 31st out of YYZ.

Currently, TAP is not flying from Montreal (YUL) for the month of July. However, from Aug. 1st through Aug. 31st, the carrier will offer three flights per week on its Lisbon-Montreal route, and that frequency will remain for the period of Sept. 1st through Sept. 31st.

Health & safety onboard

TAP is committed to providing customers with a Clean & Safe environment at all stages of their journey.

Since March 20th, TAP has conducted daily preventive disinfection of all of its aircraft, using a fast and effective nebulisation process that acts against encapsulated viruses and most common bacteria in just 30 seconds.

The airline has also taken additional cleaning and disinfection procedures specific to the Coronavirus Covid-19. Some of these include a deeper cleaning of frequent contact surfaces using approved biocidal products, in line with the Portuguese Directorate-General for Health (DGS) guidelines, and the aeronautical safety specifications and those from TAP's aircraft manufacturers.

Wearing a face mask is mandatory on board all TAP flights. Therefore, all our passengers, aged over 6, must be equipped with one and guarantee that it is used during the entire duration of the journey.
