Porter launches non-stop flights between Edmonton and Ottawa

Porter Airlines is expanding its flight network in Western Canada with the introduction of a new non-stop route between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG). 

The new route is scheduled to begin on October 4, with one daily roundtrip flight operated on the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which can accommodate 132 passengers. 

To kick off the service, introductory roundtrip fares are priced from $184.

East-west connection

"The addition of this route provides a higher level of connectivity across our network between Eastern and Western Canada," said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer. 

"We welcome the opportunity to provide even more travellers across the country with an elevated economy experience that they won't find with any other airline."

The Edmonton-Ottawa route provides convenient connections to Eastern Canada through Ottawa. 

In addition to this new route, Porter Airlines already operates multiple non-stop daily flights connecting Edmonton and Toronto-Pearson.

Passengers travelling between YOW and YEG can take advantage of free beer and wine, premium snacks, and free WiFi during the flight.
