From November through February, Canadian airlines including Westjet, Air Canada, Sunwing, and Air Transat will be rolling out additional flights to St. Maarten's Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM).
St. Maarten serves as the gateway to Anguilla, as the secluded destination does not receive direct flights or cruise ships and is instead accessible by ferry.
“We’re thrilled that more Canadians will have the chance to enjoy the hospitality and comfort of Anguilla this winter” said Cardigan Connor, Anguilla’s parliamentary secretary for tourism and sports. “We welcome more visitors from Canada each year than almost any other country, and we’re happy to report that our combination of brilliant beaches and inspired cuisine keeps them coming back.”
As fall gives way to winter, Canadians can enjoy increased access to Anguilla with the following major airlines:
- Westjet, adding an additional flight every Tuesday beginning November 20
- Air Canada, rolling out a greatly expanded flight schedule from December 15
- Air Transat, resuming weekly Saturday flights to SXM on December 22
- Sunwing, introducing weekly Thursday flights from February 28 onwards
Anguilla has 33 white sand beaches and a variety of luxurious accommodations available to suit any budget.
