FLYGTA Airlines has announced the signing of a strategic commercial agreement with Travelport.
On the heels of an agreement with SITA, FLYGTA continues to expand the capability to distribute its private jet and regular scheduled airfares and inventory to a global network of travel agency partners.
In this agreement, FLYGTA Airlines agreed to participate in Travelport's next-generation platform, Travelport+ which will be the first-ever private jet distribution through a Global Distribution System.
“The world will have to wait a couple of months to see what this means in today's market reality! All I can say at this point, is that the traditional disconnect of business aviation and airlines is over. It's a global milestone that will change the status quo," Chris Nowrouzi, CEO of FLYGTA, said in a release.
Jason Clarke, chief commercial officer, travel partners at Travelport, called the agreement "an exciting opportunity for Travelport-connected buyers to easily access the carrier’s private jet and traditional air content, and provide more choice for travellers."
“I am confident that this first-ever private jet distribution agreement will bring significant value to agencies, corporations and travellers in North America.”
FLYGTA was recently awarded the Best Private Business Jet Charter Company - Eastern Canada by Corporate Vision, a prestigious award that recognizes FLYGTA’s excellence in the industry, dedication to service and a pioneer soaring above the competition in 2021.
