Portugal-based Azores Airlines is ramping up service from Canada to 11 weekly flights in 2024.

In addition to five flights per week, year-round service between Toronto and Ponta Delgada, the airline will operate up to two weekly flights from Toronto to Terceira.

Flights will depart Toronto on Wednesdays, returning on Thursdays from April 3 to May 30, and October 2 to 24, and twice weekly Thursday and Sundays between June 2 and September 29.

From Montreal, travellers will have the choice of four non-stop flights to Ponta Delgada, operating Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between June 1 and September 30.

The Azores offers nine islands to explore or travellers can connect to points beyond such as Porto, Lisbon, Faro, Madeira, Barcelona, Bilbao, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and Praia.

Stopovers are free in the Azores for up to seven days in either direction and flexible branded fares are affordable.

Within Canada, travellers can connect with code-share partner WestJet or interline partner Porter Airlines.
