Air Canada will no longer welcome "ladies and gentlemen" onboard its planes.

Instead, flight attendants on Canada's global carrier will greet "everyone," as they come aboard, as the airline works to modernize its scripted greetings in order to create a more inclusive atmosphere for all guests.

According to CTV News, onboard announcements will also be reworked to remove any mention of gender-specific pronouns.

Back in 2017, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that Canadian passports would have three options: "male", "female", or "X," which now makes it easier for people who do not identify as female ("F") or male ("M") to acquire passports and other government-issued documents that better reflect their gender identity.
