After two years of waiting, Disney Earmarked agency owners finally had a chance to reconnect with colleagues over three days at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida this week.
The Disney Earmarked Owners Summit from Nov. 1-4 gave attendees an opportunity to network, update their product knowledge and learn from special guest speakers.
Disney’s Earmarked Program is reserved for Disney’s top accounts in both Canada and the United States who have demonstrated a high level of sales and have maintain proficiency in Disney’s destination training.
For St. Catharines, ON-based Sandra Pappas Halket, owner of ClickTheMouse Travel, the summit was a reminder that “Disney truly values us and listens to us.”
“It's wonderful to have them as a partner,” Pappas Halket told PAX. “There were great speakers that helped with our personal growth and development after a very difficult few years.”
The conference featured an impressive line-up of special guests and experiences.
Actor Kurt Russell, for one, made an appearance to talk about his relationship with Walt Disney, his movie career and his winery GoGi wines.
The summit ended with words from Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products – “who, in one word, is magical, with his incredible words of motivation,” Pappas Halket said.
A total of 11 Earmarked owners from all over Canada attended this week’s conference.
“The sentiment among owners is a hope and desire to succeed,” Pappas Halket said. “The pep talks from Disney executives, in person, is something we needed.”
Pappas Halket added that the energy at the summit, which was shared by like-minded people, was a “welcome change from Zoom calls.”
“We are pumped for a great 2022!” she said.
