Vision Travel is growing again with the acquisition of Goliger's Travel Plus’ 12 Ontario locations, a move which will also see Goliger’s Travel Plus founders Peter and Linda Van Der Heyden joining the Vision team.
Located across southern Ontario and established in 1986, the family-owned operation specializes in leisure, corporate and group travel and features 12 locations with the head office located in Waterloo, Ontario. These locations will now be re-branded under the Vision Travel name.
Peter Van Der Hayden will join the leadership team of Vision Travel.
“Peter has built a great organization and we look forward to welcoming both him and his team into the Vision Travel family,” said Vision president Brian Robertson. “As much as we are now a global company, this acquisition will create a much stronger network of brick and mortar locations across Ontario, complementing our personalized approach to travel.”
"Vision Travel’s focus on service was a key factor in this decision and their membership in Virtuoso is a perfect fit for our luxury clientele,” said Van Der Heyden. “I am confident that our staff and clients will see immediate benefits of being part of Vision Travel.”
The agreement is scheduled to be finalized by Nov. 30, 2017 subject to customary conditions.
This is the latest agency acquisition for Vision, which also added WD World Travel and Travel Sensations during a big year of growth for the company.
