TTI Travel’s Kim Cross – director of leisure operations – will now be overseeing “Away,” TTI’s luxury leisure brand, according to a press release issued Thursday (May 18).
Additionally, Cross will also be overseeing The Circle, a community of “best-in-class independent travel advisors.”
Cross has many years of experience in different facets of the travel industry, but what sets her apart is her dedicated work ethic in wanting independent travel advisors and support staff to be successful and efficient.
She brings “extensive knowledge and understanding of processes and efficiencies,” the company said.
To keep up with the company’s growing luxury travel clientele, TTI Travel has announced the hiring of Marc Villeneuve, Vince Mazet, Christiane Marleau, Maria Maestri, and Mary Ann Jordan, who are all very tenured travel advisors “with a proven track record of servicing many high-value clients.”
Barb Finn retires
Meanwhile, after a long and fulfilling 50-year career in the travel industry, Barb Finn has decided to retire.
“I first met Barb, over 35 years ago, when she was the operations manager and co-owner of her husband’s travel management company called Travel Trust International. They went on to create a national consortium that I became part of,” said Rocky Racco, CEO of TTI Travel. “The TMC and consortium were industry leaders, and from there, many folks spun off to create their own business paths across Canada.”
Finn has had a well-rounded career over the years, working in operations, sales and marketing, meeting and incentives, brand and destination representation, and boutique luxury travel agencies.
During her journey, she has touched many folks with her bright smile and witty humour and has “always put her best foot forward,” the company said.
Her last official day with TTI was Friday, May 12, but her e-mail box will remain active for a little while longer as she winds down.
“On behalf of all of us at TTI, we wish Barb much happiness and great health for a well- deserved retirement!” the company said.
